Real Madrid: Aurelian Tchouaméni Replacement Already identified

Aurélien Tchouaméni is having a mediocre season, and his future at Real Madrid seems increasingly uncertain.
The French international, who was a key element during his first two years with Los Merengues, both as a defensive midfielder and a central defender, has not been able to regain his form since the beginning of this season, which has raised doubts among the club’s management.
Although his departure as early as January seems unlikely, especially due to his role as a makeshift defender due to repeated injuries within the squad, the idea of a departure during the summer transfer window seems to be taking shape.
Real Madrid’s management has already targeted a potential successor for Tchouaméni. In addition to Florian Wirtz, who is one of their priorities for the summer of 2025, Real Madrid is eyeing Enzo Fernandez, currently a starter at Chelsea, to strengthen their defensive midfield.
The Argentine international, under contract with the Blues until 2032, would be a difficult target to obtain, especially since Chelsea paid nearly 120 million euros to Benfica to sign him.
However, if Real manages to recoup around 60 million euros for Tchouaméni, they could consider offering a sum close to 100 million euros to secure Fernandez’s services.
Transfermarkt values the Argentine player at 75 million euros.
It remains to be seen whether Tchouaméni can regain his best form during the second half of the season and convince Real Madrid’s management to entrust him with the responsibility of the starting number 6 position again.
