Vinicius sets ‘crazy’ conditions to stay at Real Madrid

Real Madrid’s attempts to renew Vinícius Júnior’s contract have reached a standstill, with the Brazilian forward reportedly presenting two conditions that the club views as excessive. Although his current deal runs until 2027, the situation has escalated to the point where negotiations have become increasingly tense within the club’s hierarchy.

The first issue concerns financial terms, as Vinícius seeks a significant improvement to reflect his status as one of the team’s most influential players. However, sources indicate that the dispute extends far beyond salary considerations, creating a more complex challenge for Real Madrid’s leadership.

The second and most controversial demand involves the managerial position. Vinícius is said to be unwilling to sign a new contract unless Xabi Alonso is removed as head coach. He reportedly feels that Alonso does not fully trust him or position him at the centre of the team’s tactical plans, leading to a strained and uncomfortable working relationship.

This rift has left Vinícius believing that his importance within the squad has been diminished, despite his contributions and his status as one of the club’s key performers in recent seasons. The disconnect between player and manager has now become a major obstacle in Real Madrid’s efforts to secure his long-term future.

If no agreement is reached, Real Madrid may be forced to consider a high-value sale in the next summer transfer window. The club is expected to demand at least €150 million to part ways with one of the world’s most valuable attackers, avoiding the risk of losing him without compensation.
