The Arsenal and Nottingham Forest Swap Deal to Make Gunners Unbeatable as They Aim for Premier League Title

The possibility of a shock swap deal between Arsenal and Nottingham Forest has begun to generate serious attention across the Premier League. Both clubs are in very different positions on the league table, yet the proposed move could benefit each side in unique ways. For Arsenal, who are pushing hard for the Premier League title, this could be a strategic masterstroke. For Forest, it could help reshape their midfield and strengthen their squad depth.
At the centre of this developing story is Elliot Anderson, the highly rated midfielder whose progress has been monitored by several Premier League clubs. His growing reputation has made him one of the most talked-about players outside the league’s top six. Nottingham Forest are aware of the interest around him, and the club may be open to exploring a major deal if it strengthens their long-term plans.
Arsenal, on the other hand, have a gem of their own. Myles Lewis-Skelly, the Hale End graduate and one of the brightest young talents at the club, has long been viewed as a future star. However, limited game time this season has raised questions about his immediate development. With Riccardo Calafiori in exceptional form, Lewis-Skelly has found it difficult to secure regular minutes.
This situation has created a rare opportunity. Reports suggest that Arsenal could be willing to include Lewis-Skelly in a swap deal for Elliot Anderson. The idea has caught the attention of fans, pundits, and analysts, because it would involve two highly promising young midfielders switching clubs in a move that could shift the balance for both sides.
According to Caught Offside, Nottingham Forest are one of four Premier League teams showing interest in Lewis-Skelly. Forest see him as an ideal replacement for Anderson because of his versatility and natural midfield instincts. He could step directly into the heart of their midfield and bring youthful energy to their squad.
In addition to that, Lewis-Skelly could also challenge for the left-back role. Neco Williams currently occupies that position, but the Arsenal youngster’s right-footed dominance and adaptability make him a strong candidate to compete there. This flexibility could allow him to take his game to an entirely new level at the City Ground.
For Arsenal, the biggest concern about losing Lewis-Skelly is the risk of letting a future star slip away too early. For this reason, the club would insist on including a buy-back clause in any deal. This would allow Arsenal to bring him back if he develops rapidly at Forest and reaches the potential they believe he possesses.
Transfermarkt currently values Lewis-Skelly at around €45 million. Arsenal are likely to place a slightly higher valuation on one of their most talented academy graduates. If they were to offer Lewis-Skelly plus £60 million for Anderson, along with a £50 million buy-back clause on the youngster, the deal could become a reality.
Such a structured swap deal would grab headlines, especially if completed ahead of the 2026 season. It would not only provide Arsenal with a rising midfield star in Anderson but would also give Forest a dynamic young talent who can transform their squad.
The move would also show Arsenal’s seriousness in building a squad capable of competing at the highest level. Anderson’s creativity, ball-carrying, and tactical intelligence could give the Gunners an extra edge in their title chase. Meanwhile, Forest would secure a player with huge long-term value, who could evolve into a leading figure for them.
If this swap deal eventually goes through, it could become one of the most talked-about transfers in Premier League history. Both clubs would gain something meaningful, and the ripple effect could reshape the league’s competitive landscape in 2026.
