Rio Ferdinand Calls for Casemiro’s Immediate Return to Man United’s Starting XI
Rio Ferdinand has called for Casemiro to be restored to Manchester United’s starting lineup following the midfielder’s standout performance against Wolves. The former United defender stressed that, regardless of who Ruben Amorim chooses to bench, Casemiro must be included from the first whistle.
Ferdinand highlighted the Brazilian’s commanding presence throughout the match, noting that his influence extended across all phases of play. Casemiro’s positioning, decision-making, and leadership provided the stability United have often lacked this season.
According to Ferdinand, the midfielder’s ability to read the game and break down opposing attacks was instrumental in controlling the tempo. His willingness to cover ground and support both defence and attack made him one of the most impactful players on the pitch.
The former United star also praised Casemiro’s composure under pressure, emphasizing how his experience continues to elevate the team’s overall performance. He described the display as a reminder of why the Brazilian remains one of the club’s most valuable assets.
Ferdinand concluded that Amorim should now consider Casemiro a non-negotiable starter, arguing that his performance against Wolves clearly demonstrated the difference he brings to the squad when he is fully fit and focused.
