Real Madrid’s Fitness Coach Discusses Kylian Mbappé’s Struggles: “Kylian’s Problem is…
Antonio Pintus, Real Madrid’s fitness coach, has shared his thoughts on the challenges Kylian Mbappé is facing since joining the club. While the French forward has had a tough start to his first season at Madrid, Pintus emphasized that the main issue for Mbappé isn’t physical.
Ahead of Real Madrid’s match against Osasuna on Saturday, November 9, 2024, Pintus spoke about Mbappé’s difficult period at the club. The Frenchman, who has been criticized in Spain and even left out of the national team by Didier Deschamps for the November international break, is still receiving backing from his club. Despite scoring 8 goals and providing 2 assists in 15 appearances across all competitions, Mbappé has faced criticism for his lack of efficiency, particularly in the number 9 role.
However, Pintus remains optimistic and has a different perspective. He explained, “Kylian’s problem is his goal-scoring, but physically, he’s in great shape: slim, powerful… As soon as he scores, he takes off.” According to sources close to the club, Pintus shared this analysis with manager Carlo Ancelotti. Pintus is confident that once Mbappé finds the back of the net again, his form and confidence will return quickly. Ancelotti has already confirmed that Mbappé will start as a striker against Osasuna.
Despite the challenges, those close to Mbappé are convinced that the player will soon find his rhythm and return to his best form.
