Real Madrid Transfer Update – Alonso Eyes Three Departures, Vinicius Junior Commits Future

Real Madrid are preparing for the FIFA Club World Cup, starting June 14, while also making strategic squad adjustments for the upcoming season. Manager Xabi Alonso, who took charge at the end of last season, has reportedly decided to offload three players:
Aurélien Tchouaméni, Fran García, and David Alaba. These moves align with his tactical vision for the team. Fran García, who has failed to impress since his return to the club, is now deemed surplus to requirements. His departure will allow Real Madrid to explore alternative options in defense. David Alaba’s recurring injury issues have made him a liability, and Alonso has excluded him from next season’s plans.
The Austrian defender’s exit will free up significant wages. Tchouaméni, once viewed as Casemiro’s long-term successor, has struggled with inconsistency. Alonso has reportedly approved his sale, with several clubs already showing interest. Meanwhile, Vinícius Júnior has agreed to a new contract extension until 2030, worth €100 million over five years.
Despite interest from Saudi clubs, Real Madrid see him as a cornerstone of their future. The official signing of Vinícius’ new deal is expected after the Club World Cup, solidifying his place in the squad despite Kylian Mbappé’s arrival. Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni has praised Franco Mastantuono, whose move from River Plate to Real Madrid is nearly finalized.
Scaloni emphasized the importance of careful development for the 17-year-old prodigy. Mastantuono has already made an impact at River Plate, scoring 10 goals and providing 7 assists in 61 appearances. His arrival adds to Real Madrid’s growing pool of young talent. With Alonso reshaping the squad and key players committing their futures, Real Madrid are positioning themselves for sustained success domestically and in Europe.
The club’s transfer activity suggests a blend of immediate reinforcements and long-term planning, ensuring they remain competitive in all competitions.
