Rangers chasing £10m-rated English Premier League winger, 22, as Russell Martin steps up Ibrox recruitment drive

RANGERS are chasing Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.
The 22-year-old is back with the Eagles after a loan spell at Sheffield United last season.

Blades chiefs were planning to buy Rak-Sakyi if they had won promotion to the Premier League.
But they lost out in the play-off final to Sunderland and the England under-21 cap has returned to his parent club.
Palace are looking for around £10million for Rak-Sakyi – but Rangers may look to loan him.
Ibrox bosses could also attempt to get him on a permanent deal for a lower fee.
Gers boss Russell Martin is looking for a winger to replace Vaclav Cerny after his loan ended.
Rak-Sakyi came through the ranks at Chelsea before joining Palace in 2019.
He had a productive loan spell at Charlton before shining for Sheffield United last season.
But he’s unlikely to feature for Palace in the Premier League and looks set to move on.
Gers have already added Max Aarons, Lyall Cameron, Emmanuel Fernandez, Joe Rothwell and Thelo Aasgaard this summer.
Wolves stopper Nasser Djiga is also in talks over a loan, while Leicester City defender Conor Coady is edging closer to an Ibrox move.
But Martin still wants more – with several players set to depart before the end of the window.
Lille are in talks over a megabucks deal for Hamza Igamane and AEK Athens want Cyriel Dessers.
Fringe men like Rabbi Matondo, Kieran Dowell and Ben Davies could also be shipped out.
Speaking on Friday, Martin said: “We are working hard to make sure we get the right ones.

“The ones already in the building we are so pleased about and the ones we think will come in in the next week or two we’ll be so pleased with them.
“We still need some help, but we are all aware of that.
“We can’t be in a rush and just sign the ones we’re not too sure about.
“We have to go after the ones we really want. We have to look at character first.
“Can you come here and add to us as a group in terms of your behaviour, the way you train, the way you work, who you are as a human being?

“Playing for this football club won’t be for everyone so character first then talent after.
“We want to get both.
“We’re at a disadvantage because we have these early European qualifiers. Kevin is calling guys who are still on the beach.
“We are waiting for things to happen so it’s not a lack of willingness. Everyone is working so hard.
“The ones we have brought in so far, great. But there will be more.”
