Mason Greenwood’s future, both on and off the pitch, remains uncertain. FIFA’s eligibility rules allow Greenwood to switch allegiances. He played only one competitive game for England, under the age of 21, making him eligible to represent Jamaica provided he hasn’t played more than three competitive senior international games yet.

This turn of events presents Greenwood with a potential path forward. Representing Jamaica could offer him a fresh start internationally and a chance to rebuild his career. However, significant challenges remain.

Greenwood hasn’t played competitively for over a year and lacks recent training. He needs to find a new club and get back to playing at a high level before any international call-up becomes realistic.
