Man Utd: Could Paul Pogba’s Return Be the Solution? ‘Perfect’ Fit for Arsenal as a Replacement for Their ‘Lost’ Star

Should Manchester United bring Paul Pogba back into their ranks? The 31-year-old French international, who is currently facing a doping ban, has been tipped to return with a renewed drive and “super motivation.”
Pogba’s journey with Manchester United has been a complex one. After rising through the club’s youth system, he left for Juventus on a free transfer following disagreements with then-manager Sir Alex Ferguson. During his time in Serie A, Pogba thrived, and his stellar performances prompted United to re-sign him in 2016 for an £86m fee. However, his second stint at Old Trafford was marred by inconsistency and off-field issues, leading him back to Juventus on another free transfer in 2022.
Since returning to Italy, Pogba’s career has been turbulent. Injuries sidelined him for much of the 2022/23 season, and he was later handed a four-year doping ban after testing positive for non-endogenous testosterone. After an appeal, his suspension was reduced to 18 months, making him eligible to resume training by January 2025 and play again in March.
With Juventus reportedly ready to offload Pogba, rumors are circulating about a potential move back to the Premier League. Former Arsenal player Emmanuel Petit believes Pogba could be an ideal fit for Arsenal, suggesting that the midfielder’s unique qualities would make him “perfect” to fill the gap left by one of their key players.
