Jorge Mendes steps in to sort five-goal Wolves player’s exit from Molineux, but he is ‘frustrating’ clubs

Jorge Mendes is set to have more influence at Wolves this summer – and now he is said to be handling one player’s exit from Molineux, despite him having his own agent.

Wolves have seen a number of players leaving the club already this summer.

Matheus Cunha kicked off the exodus by joining Manchester United.

Rayan Ait-Nouri then left to join Manchester City.

Pablo Sarabia and Craig Dawson have both left as free agents, as has Nelson Semedo technically, although Wolves still hope he’ll extend.

Carlos Forbs has also left and rejoined his parent club Ajax after a poor loan spell.

Several more will be out the door come the end of the window, and one player who is all but certain to go is Fabio Silva.

Jorge Mendes endeavouring to get Fabio Silva out of Wolves

Fabio Silva’s permanent exit from Wolves should happen this summer.

The striker spent last season on loan at Las Palmas, which was something of a surprise because most felt he would leave on a permanent basis.

But seemingly, no suitable offers were forthcoming.

But bids will be coming in for Silva this time around after a successful spell in Spain – and TEAMtalk are reporting that Jorge Mendes has now taken the reins over Silva’s exit.

Even though Silva has his own agent – Carlos Oliveira – Mendes will now facilitate the striker’s next move.

Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are battling to sign Silva, but clubs in Spain and Italy are also circling.

The presence of Mendes is said to have created obstacles for the two German sides, and negotiations have now slowed as a result.

It’s claimed that Dortmund and Leipzig would prefer to negotiate with Silva’s agent rather than the third party Mendes.

The suggestion is that Mendes will seek to inflate the finances involved, and that is something that is frustrating clubs.

Silva could give Wolves transfer kitty a welcome boost thanks to Mendes

One can imagine the frustrations that Leipzig and Dortmund have in this situation.

But for Wolves this is potentially a good thing, as there is chance that Silva – who has only ever cored five goals for Wanderers – can fetch a really decent transfer fee.

For so long, it has looked as though Wolves would make a major loss on Silva, having bought him for £35 million.

But now, it seems like Wolves could actually sell him for decent money.

The chances of getting back what they paid are still extremely low.

But Wolves have previously valued Silva at around £21 million, so perhaps we are talking about a few million more than that if Mendes can work his magic.
