It’s again being reported in Italy that Lecce striker Nikola Krstović is not convinced on a move for Leeds United and is waiting for an Italian club to come in for him.

That’s according to Calcio Lecce, who report that Krstović was not enthusiastic about the move to Leeds and Elland Road. They showed the first interest in him this summer.

Daniel Farke’s side would have been willing to exceed €20m to buy the forward, but he seemed anything but convinced about the move.

Yesterday the technical area director of the club, Pantaleo Corvino, dodged questions about the striker and his future. The impression from the club is that he is waiting for something better in Italy. He likes Serie A and knows Roma and AC Milan wanted him in January. He is hoping they come again.

Corriere dello Sport say something similar, reporting that Roma could be in for Krstović after selling Tammy Abraham.

The newspaper states that Krstović has put the brakes on negotiations with Leeds because he would like to play in European cups. Roma would be an interesting solution for him on that front.

So, it’s a combination of not being convinced, wanting to stay in Serie A and wanting to play in European cups too. Whatever, Leeds will surely turn their attention elsewhere as this one doesn’t’ seem likely to ever happen.
