Is Rodrygo Leaving? Real Madrid Star Breaks Silence Amid Arsenal & Chelsea Links

Rodrygo’s future at Real Madrid has been a hot topic in recent months, with strong interest from Premier League sides like Arsenal and Chelsea. With the arrival of Kylian Mbappé and the rise of Vinicius Jr. and Jude Bellingham, the Brazilian winger has struggled to secure a consistent starting role.
Reports suggest Real Madrid value him at around €100 million, and clubs like Arsenal are monitoring his situation closely. However, Rodrygo may have just hinted at staying. He recently shared training photos under new manager Xabi Alonso with a simple caption: “HAPPY.”
This has sparked speculation that he could remain at the Bernabéu. During his unveiling in May, Xabi Alonso called Rodrygo a “spectacular” player and confirmed he’s part of his plans. Despite this, interest from Arsenal and Chelsea remains strong, with a potential fee between €80M and €100M if he departs.
Rodrygo joined Real Madrid from Santos in 2019 for €40 million and has since made over 260 appearances, scoring 68 goals. While often used as an impact substitute, he has delivered in crucial moments. One of his most memorable performances came during the 2022 Champions League run,
where he scored decisive goals against Chelsea and Manchester City, helping Madrid lift the trophy. Despite his contributions, increased competition has raised doubts about his long-term role. His contract runs until 2028, but a move for more playing time can’t be ruled out.
Arsenal and Chelsea view him as a top target, with his versatility and goal-scoring ability making him an attractive option. Real Madrid, however, are in no rush to sell unless a substantial offer arrives. Rodrygo’s recent social media post suggests he’s content under Alonso,
but the transfer rumors will persist until the window closes. The coming weeks will be crucial in determining his next step. For now, the Brazilian remains a key part of Madrid’s squad, but the allure of the Premier League could still tempt him away. Fans will be watching closely as the saga unfolds.
