Hansi Flick transfers world star from Real Madrid to Barcelona
Hansi Flick has already started building for the future at Barcelona after a series of impressive results that have exceeded even the most optimistic expectations. The German coach has led the team to the top of La Liga and delivered significant victories, including a 4-0 demolition of Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu and a 4-0 triumph over Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
While Flick has relied heavily on the youth coming through La Masia, he is still keen to strengthen key areas of his squad with more experience. One of these areas is left-back, where Alejandro Balde has been the sole option. Barcelona currently lacks a suitable backup in case of injury or suspension.
According to German newspaper *Bild*, Flick has requested that Barcelona sign Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season. This would allow Barcelona to secure the Canadian international on a free transfer, a move that aligns with club president Joan Laporta’s strategy.
Reports suggest that Davies has declined to renew his contract with Bayern Munich and may be on the verge of joining Real Madrid next summer. However, Davies’ history with Flick, having won the sextuple with him at Bayern, could potentially influence his decision. With Barcelona emerging as one of the world’s most attractive clubs, the opportunity to reunite with Flick and play for Barça could tempt the full-back to reconsider his next destination.
