Fabrizio Romano Reveals Barcelona’s Top Two Transfer Targets for a Dream Squad

Barcelona’s resurgence under new manager Hansi Flick continues to make waves, with the team sitting atop the La Liga table, six points clear of rivals Real Madrid. Amidst this dominance, the January transfer window presents an opportunity to further strengthen their squad.

Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has identified two key players who could elevate Barcelona’s roster to unprecedented levels. According to Romano, Barcelona has set its sights on Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams and AC Milan’s star forward Rafael Leao. Both players operate primarily on the left flank, suggesting the Catalan giants may prioritize signing one over the other.

Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, recently hinted at their interest in Williams, stating, “Nico was in our thoughts last summer… but he made his decision and life continues. We signed Dani Olmo instead, as he was a priority target for us.”

The potential addition of either Williams or Leao could bring a new dimension to Flick’s already formidable squad, which has impressed since his arrival in the summer. Despite their strong league form, Barcelona suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad before the international break, a match that highlighted the absence of young star Lamine Yamal.

Reflecting on the loss, Flick admitted: “We started well and even scored, but the goal was wrongly disallowed. We struggled to maintain momentum and made poor decisions in the final third. While Lamine’s absence was felt, we won’t use it as an excuse.”

Barcelona will return to action on November 23, facing Celta Vigo at Balaídos. Fans eagerly await whether the rumored January moves could solidify their position as one of Europe’s most complete squads.
