  • Leeds United have been busy in the transfer market these past few days. After securing deals for Nmecha and Bijol, they have now added another player.
  • Sebastiaan Bornauw joined the club on Tuesday after completing his medical on Monday. Leeds managed to wrap up that deal quickly; making it three signings in this window. The club are expected to complete a move for Hoffenheim midfielder Anton Stach to make him the fourth addition so far.

The attack, defence and possibly midfield could be bolstered in the coming days. But Leeds also have urgent needs in other areas.

Leeds United could sign Turkish talent

Despite signing Lukas Nmecha, there were multiple reports that another center forward would arrive this summer. Leeds are still stuck in talks with Lecce over Nikola Krstovic. But it looks like the personal terms are still holding up the deal.

If reports from Turkey are to be believed, the Whites could be handed a lifeline. Fanatik report that Besiktas are willing to accept £13million for Semih Kilicsoy. The youngster has a £17million release clause, but the Turkish Super League side are ready to sell him for a lower fee due to the current interest in him.

This comes after the fact that Besiktas club President Serdal Adali said he would not be open to letting Kilicsoy leave:

“There are teams interested in Semih Kılıçsoy. There are two clubs from abroad, one of which has sent their projects, and they, like us, prioritize young players, but right now, we don’t want to sell Semih.”

Kilicsoy is a great market opportunity

The forward is still 19 years old, and has already racked up 60+ appearances at senior level. After breaking out last season with 12 goals in all competitions, his tally was just four goals this season.

£13million for that kind of talent is close to a bargain. He would not immediately come and start in the first team, but he would be a valuable asset for the future.
