Declan Rice’s Priceless Reaction as Liverpool Drops Points After Arsenal’s Victory Over Manchester United
On a thrilling night at the Emirates Stadium, Declan Rice played a pivotal role in Arsenal’s midfield during their impressive 2-0 victory against Manchester United, managed by Ruben Amorim. Goals from Jurrien Timber and William Saliba sealed the win for Mikel Arteta’s side.
The night got even sweeter for Arsenal when news broke that Premier League leaders Liverpool were held to a dramatic 3-3 draw by Newcastle United at St. James’ Park. Fabian Schar’s late equalizer ensured the Reds dropped crucial points.
Following the match, Rice spoke to Amazon Prime Video, where he was informed of Liverpool’s result. The interviewer remarked, “The other bit of good news, Liverpool drew tonight, they dropped points, so you’ve closed that gap as well. Must feel good.”
Rice responded with composure, saying:
“Yeah, it’s good, but look, people get carried away with the title talk. I was involved in my first one last year. You just need to be in and around it by February; it’s too early to be calling what’s going on. It’s closed up, but there’s still a long way to go. We’ll keep believing in ourselves.”
Arsenal’s victory solidified their third-place position in the Premier League standings with 28 points, level with Chelsea but trailing on goal difference. Meanwhile, Liverpool remains at the top with 35 points, but their lead has narrowed, adding more intensity to the title race.
