FC Barcelona is reportedly set to make a significant move for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, a player they’ve admired for some time. The 23-year-old Georgian winger, currently with Napoli, has long been on the radar of major European clubs, and with his contract extension negotiations at a standstill, a potential transfer seems imminent.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) showed strong interest in Kvaratskhelia during the summer transfer window, but no deal was finalized. Now, with the player’s contract situation unresolved, both PSG and Barcelona are intensifying their efforts to secure the winger’s signature for the 2025 season. La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that both clubs are pushing Napoli for a deal before next summer, with Barcelona reportedly in active talks, possibly securing the winger for around €80 million.

Kvaratskhelia’s contract, which runs until 2027, has become a point of contention, with Napoli offering him a one-year extension worth approximately €6 million annually. However, the player remains at odds with the club, which has sparked interest from several top clubs across Europe.

In addition to PSG and Barcelona, Liverpool is also keeping a close eye on the winger, with journalist Graeme Bailey noting that the club could make a move to bolster their squad in preparation for Mohamed Salah’s eventual departure. Bailey added that Liverpool is well-aware of Kvaratskhelia’s situation, making the player a viable option for their attacking plans next summer.

With the race heating up for Kvaratskhelia’s signature, it remains to be seen whether Barcelona, PSG, or Liverpool will win the battle for the talented winger’s services. However, given the player’s growing stature and the club’s interest, it seems a major transfer is on the horizon.
