André Onana Set to Stay at Manchester United Amid Summer Exit Rumors

Manchester United fans can breathe a sigh of relief as reports from the Daily Mail suggest that goalkeeper André Onana is not expected to leave the club this summer.
Despite earlier speculation linking him with a potential exit, it now appears the Cameroonian shot-stopper is staying put at Old Trafford for the 2025/26 season.
Onana, who joined United from Inter Milan last summer, had a rollercoaster debut season in the Premier League. After some shaky early performances, he gradually found his rhythm and ended the season as one of United’s key figures, earning praise for his distribution and shot-stopping abilities.
The club’s confidence in Onana has remained strong, and sources suggest that manager Erik ten Hag still views him as his undisputed number one heading into the new campaign. The coaching staff reportedly believes the 28-year-old will only continue to improve in his second year in England.
Interest from other European clubs had raised questions about Onana’s future, but United are understood to have no intentions of letting him go. Instead, the club is focused on strengthening other areas of the squad, especially in defence and midfield, while keeping their core intact.
With pre-season preparations underway, Onana is expected to play a central role in United’s plans. His presence provides much-needed stability at the back, and fans will be hoping he can deliver even more consistent performances as the Red Devils aim to bounce back stronger next season.
