Rangers are among the clubs linked with Brighton goalkeeper Carl Rushworth this summer.

Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed the 24-year-old’s fitness ahead of a potential move in the coming weeks.

He moved to Hull City on loan last season but was recalled by the Seagulls in the January transfer window.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, exclusively told Ibrox News: “The club may take a closer look at his ankle injury from this past season to assess healing and if there’s any additional wear they may not be comfortable with.

“He is a goalkeeper, so obviously, there would be different barriers of assessment.

“It may come down to the risk they are willing to take, but this is not one of those high-risk transfers, so I’d not recommend against it.”
