Newcastle player reacts to post about Anthony Elanga and Nottingham Forest fans won’t be impressed

Nottingham Forest are fighting tooth and nail to keep hold of Anthony Elanga this summer.

Newcastle are red hot on Elanga and have already seen a bid of £45 million knocked back, with Forest demanding £60 million for his services.

Nuno Espirito Santo doesn’t want to lose a player who is integral to how Forest likes to play on the counter.

The Reds need to make sure the squad is strengthened and not weakened, with an exit for Elanga likely to be hard to recover from next season.

It’s becoming a bit of a saga at the moment, and both sets of supporters are growing increasingly frustrated with the whole situation.

Will Osula reacts to post about Anthony Elanga

Newcastle fans are desperate for a signing and are clinging on to any little piece of positive information they can.

Right now, Newcastle man Osula and Forest star Elanga, and yesterday, a video was posted of the two players dancing along to some music.

Naturally, that got Newcastle fans all riled up, seemingly determined to convince themselves that the whole scenario means that Elanga is going to Newcastle.

After a fan messaged Osula on Snapchat saying ‘Agent Osula’, he posted a reply of himself with a smile on his face and a sticker showing Thierry Henry doing his comical laugh.

Forest can’t budge on Elanga valuation

Forest aren’t under pressure to sell any of their top players this summer, although doing so would allow more wriggle room in the transfer market.

Of all the star players, however, Elanga would be one of the hardest to replace given his blistering pace.

Newcastle either need to put up the money that Forest wants for their star player or walk away and leave the Reds to focus on starting next season with Elanga.

Keith Downie said this week that Newcastle have money, and with that in mind, Forest should forget any concept of lowering the price for a player under contract until 2028.
