Leicester City receive Chris Wilder thumbs up as conditions laid out

Chris Wilder could be the right man for Leicester City.
That’s the view of Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman as he addressed the managerial situation at the King Power Stadium.
The Foxes are looking for a new boss in the wake of Ruud van Nistelrooy’s departure last week, following relegation from the Premier League.
Wilder is a free agent after leaving Sheffield United after they missed out on promotion to the Premier League last season, losing to Sunderland in the play-offs final.
“I take Chris Wilder’s pedigree at Championship level particularly is still very high,” said Goodman, speaking to Football League World.
“Most people would probably feel he’s been treated very harshly by Sheffield United.”
Goodman believes a potential stumbling block for Leicester in appointing a new manager is the threat of the club starting the new season with a points deduction.
City have been charged with three possible breaches of Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) that could see them start the campaign on negative points.
“The question is, is Leicester City going to be a hugely attractive job, how many points are they going to be deducted if they’re going to get points deducted,” added Goodman.
“If they start on an even keel then it would be an attractive job.
“You would suspect the owners are keen to bounce back at the first attempt and in saying all of that, that would mean the name Chris Wilder should be someone that they’d be considering.”
