‘I’ve seen enough’ Wrexham fans are all in agreement over Phil Parkinson’s latest £700k signing

Wrexham opened their pre-season tour of Australia with a 3-0 victory over Melbourne Victory.
Phil Parkinson played two separate sides in the two halves and went into the break 1-0 to the good thanks to Thomas O’Connor.
Ryan Longman shone in the Wrexham player ratings v Melbourne Victory but the Red Dragons really took control in the second half as Ryan Hardie added a second on his debut.
George Evans rounded off the scoring but it was Hardie who made a big impression during the game and supporters have already given their verdict on Parkinson’s new forward.

Wrexham fans react to Ryan Hardie’s performance v Melbourne Victory
Wrexham’s signing of Hardie has been questioned as to whether the centre forward will score enough goals for the Red Dragons to survive in the Championship.
However, the movement on display for his first goal in a Wrexham shirt was that of a striker who knows where the net is and the fans are excited by his display.
One Wrexham took to X and wrote: “I’ve seen enough. Ryan Hardie championship top goal scorer. Premier league here we come.”
Another fan wrote: “quality finish & strikers instinct…..smith has a job to stay in the team unless its smith & hardie as the 2.”
One Wrexham supporter has already made a bold prediction about the striker following 45 minutes of action, they wrote: “20 goals 20 goals Ryan Hardie.”
Ryan Hardie substituted with injury concern for Phil Parkinson
There was one sour note from Hardie’s debut, following a clash late on in the game with a Melbourne Victory defender the striker was substituted for youngster Callum Edwards.
The hope is that the substitution was just precautionary but it looked as though the 28-year-old was in some discomfort as he left the field.

Hardie worked with Wayne Rooney on his positioning and finishing during his time at Plymouth Argyle and whilst it is very early days in his Wrexham career, there were very positive signs.
His movement and decisiveness in the final third really shone through in the match and Parkinson could not have hoped for a better start from his new acquisition.
