Saliba to Real Madrid? The Frenchman Shuts Down Rumors with a Clear Answer
Real Madrid’s hunt for defensive reinforcements has seen them linked with French international William Saliba. With key players like Eder Militao and David Alaba sidelined, bolstering the central defense has become a priority for the Spanish giants.
The Merengues have reportedly set their sights on Arsenal’s standout defenders, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes. However, Arsenal remains firm in their stance, unwilling to part with their prized duo.
Amid mounting speculation, Saliba has spoken out, addressing his future amid Real Madrid’s interest. The former Marseille defender made it clear that his loyalty lies with Arsenal, a club he now considers home.
“I feel at home. I signed for the club five years ago, but this is only my third season, and I like everything: the players, the staff, and the fans. I feel at home, so of course, why not stay?” Saliba stated in an interview with The Mirror.
With this firm declaration, Saliba has put an end to the swirling rumors, disappointing Real Madrid supporters who had hoped to see the Premier League star—hailed as the “new Van Dijk”—donning their club’s iconic white jersey.
For now, Saliba remains an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal project, signaling his commitment to the team’s ambitions as they push for more success.
