Camp Nou Set for Possible Reopening Pending Final Approval

Negotiations between FC Barcelona and the City Council regarding the Phase 1C construction license are progressing positively. Both parties are reportedly close to an agreement that would allow the next stage of redevelopment to move forward.

If the club receives the required authorization, it would mark a significant milestone in the renovation project. The approval would permit partial reopening of the stadium for official matches.

Under the proposed plan, Barcelona’s home fixture against Osasuna on the 13th could be played at the Camp Nou. This would represent the first major return of fans to the venue since construction began.

Current projections indicate that approximately 62,000 spectators could be accommodated safely within the stadium. This capacity has been calculated based on ongoing structural and safety evaluations.

While the final decision rests with the licensing authorities, the club remains optimistic. The outcome of the negotiations will determine whether Barcelona can welcome supporters back to the Camp Nou for the upcoming match.
