Real Madrid, in collaboration with HP, has unveiled an all-black “We Stand Together” jersey to be worn in the club’s next two home matches. The initiative is a symbolic gesture of solidarity following the devastating tower-block fire in Hong Kong. Designed with intention and restraint, the shirt features no sponsor logo, no contrasting colours, and only a charcoal-grey club crest with the message “We Stand Together – Hong Kong 2025” embroidered discreetly across the chest.

All proceeds from both match-worn and replica versions of the jersey will be directed entirely to the affected families in Hong Kong. The club has committed to delivering the funds directly, ensuring swift support for the community left reeling after the tragedy that claimed more than one hundred lives and displaced thousands.

The Santiago Bernabéu, known for its iconic nights of celebration and dramatic comebacks, will take on a markedly different tone for the occasion. Stadium lights will be dimmed to half-mast before kick-off, creating an atmosphere of collective mourning and respect. The tribute underscores Real Madrid’s intention to use its global platform for meaningful humanitarian expression.

Inside the stadium, 80,000 fans will raise white cards forming the image of a heart surrounding the message “Hong Kong, we are with you.” Players will also take to the pitch wearing black armbands inscribed with the names of the victims, reinforcing the club’s commitment to honouring those affected by the tragedy.

For one night, football’s grandest stage will channel its emotion toward a purpose far greater than sport. Real Madrid’s gesture serves as a reminder of the club’s human spirit, resonating deeply with supporters worldwide and offering solidarity to a community facing immense loss.
