Vinícius is left alone: six Real Madrid teammates no longer speak to him
Vinícius Junior is becoming increasingly isolated inside Real Madrid’s dressing room. What once looked like a united squad now shows visible cracks, and several of the club’s key figures are no longer willing to tolerate the Brazilian’s behaviour. His talent is unquestioned, but the mood around him has changed dramatically.
In recent months, Vinícius has been involved in several controversies that overshadowed his performances. Instead of leading Real Madrid’s attack with maturity, his attitude has repeatedly drawn attention for the wrong reasons. The turning point came during the last El Clásico, when he reacted furiously after being substituted by Xabi Alonso in the second half.
The cameras caught Vinícius shouting that he was “done” and that he was “leaving the club”. He walked off the pitch without greeting Rodrygo and headed straight to the locker room, leaving both fans and teammates shocked. What should have been a simple tactical change became another storm around the Brazilian.
According to El Nacional, his behaviour on the field is only part of the problem. Some Real Madrid players feel he does not commit enough to defensive transitions. They believe he prioritises his frustration over the team’s collective responsibility. When things do not go his way, he is quick to react emotionally, and this has caused growing tension in the squad.
The unease has now turned into silence. Reports claim that four important teammates have completely cut communication with him. Aurelien Tchouaméni, Fede Valverde, Dani Carvajal, and Thibaut Courtois are said to be tired of his attitude. Recently, Kylian Mbappé and Eduardo Camavinga have joined the group, leaving Vinícius more isolated than ever.
This situation comes at a difficult moment, because the club is in the middle of negotiating his contract renewal. His deal expires in June 2027, and instead of progressing, the discussions have stalled. Vinícius and his representatives have asked for an annual salary of thirty million euros and a five year extension. Real Madrid considers the request too high and believes the player is deliberately prolonging the talks.
Florentino Pérez feels personally disappointed. He has always defended Vinícius, even through difficult periods earlier in his career, and he expected more loyalty from him. The president now suspects that the player may be planning to run down his contract and leave as a free agent, collecting a huge signing bonus elsewhere. For Real Madrid, that would be a major blow.
Because of this, Florentino has taken a drastic decision. He is prepared to place Vinícius on the transfer list in the next window if the situation does not change. The club does not want to be held hostage by a player’s demands, especially one whose behaviour is affecting the mood of the dressing room. Even players who admire his football believe a transfer could help restore harmony.
However, the market is not responding as expected. Despite his status as one of the brightest talents in the world, no formal offers have arrived. Clubs are monitoring him, but his behaviour and salary expectations are raising questions. Real Madrid is now facing a difficult puzzle, trying to maintain its competitive level without letting internal tension grow.
Inside the squad, the fear is that Vinícius may intentionally create more disruptions to pressure the board. They worry he could become a destabilising force if the renewal battle continues. Although everyone agrees that his technical quality is extraordinary, they also admit that his temperament is becoming a time bomb the team can no longer ignore.
As the season progresses, Real Madrid must decide whether to keep pushing for renewal or prepare for a future without him. Vinícius remains one of the club’s most decisive players on the pitch, but his relationships off the pitch are breaking faster than ever. If things do not improve, the Brazilian could face one of the most difficult moments of his career.
Real Madrid has dealt with big personalities before, but this situation is unique. A star player, loved by fans, is now at the center of a quiet storm that grows larger with every passing week. Whether he stays or goes, the dressing room dynamic has already changed. For Vinícius Junior, the loneliness inside Valdebebas may be the biggest warning he has ever received.
