Everton touched down in New York on Wednesday following their behind-closed-doors friendly at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Carlos Alcaraz became the first goalscorer at the new Everton stadium, having become the club’s first signing of the summer.

All eyes will be on Barry over the coming weeks as fans will be pining to see the striker in action for the first time.

Barry enjoyed a delayed summer break following his participation in the U21 Euros, where he reached the semi-final.

With the first training session on American soil now under the belt, Everton fans have had a first glance at what number their new striker may have chosen to wear.

Thierno Barry’s potential Everton number spotted in training
In a big boost for the Blues, James Tarkowski returned to Everton training with the squad in New Jersey on Thursday.
Although the summer signings have been few and far between, there will be plenty of excitement to see Barry in action.

Everton posted some footage of the players walking out to training in the New York sunshine on Thursday, where Barry could be spotted.

The Frenchman could be seen wearing the number 11 on his training gear which was formerly worn by Jack Harrison.

Moyes is open to signing another striker at Everton before the window shuts later in the summer.

But Barry will be landing on Merseyside with plenty of potential, and with fans desperate to see him etch his name in the early history of the new stadium.

Beto switches to number nine

Barry is not the only Everton striker to show his new number during the opening training session across the pond.

Beto has impressed Moyes already this summer with his efforts in the Scotland training camp earlier this month.

The 27-year-old will be keen to make a strong impression early on ahead of Barry’s arrival.

And he was spotted wearing the number nine on his training gear, instead of the number 14 he previously held.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s departure has allowed Beto to take that number, and he will be looking to really push on from a strong second half of last season.
