David Moyes will be desperately trying to strengthen Everton’s attack before the Premier League season starts.

After a disappointing season in front of goal, Moyes will not put up with the same standard this season.

Thierno Barry’s early signing is promising as Everton have hopefully got their number nine nailed down for the next few years.

But with a striker, he needs chances created, and in the current squad, only Dwight McNeil and Iliman Ndiaye can provide that.

Moyes will be searching for another creative outlet, and with Everton eying an ‘ambitious’ move for Jack Grealish, they’ve just received a lifeline.

The saga with Grealish and Everton has gone on all summer so far, and it still seems like a breakthrough hasn’t been made.

But the Toffees are no doubt in the running despite it being surprising if Grealish joins Everton this summer.

The winger is looking for a move after being banished by Pep Guardiola, and Napoli are also interested in Grealish.

But it seems as though the Italian side are looking at other options, according to Fabrizio Romano, as Raheem Sterling has been offered to the side from Naples.

This is good news in terms of Moyes’ pursuit of Grealish, as Napoli might have just ended their chances for the English winger entirely, as the possible reunion with Kevin De Bruyne is off the table, and Everton look to be the most attractive option in play now.

It’s also stated that Napoli wanted Takefusa Kubo, which is a problem, but in terms of Grealish, Sterling could help Everton massively.

With Grealish now looking more viable, Kubo is suddenly looking less likely if Napoli form an approach.

This is due to Antonio Conte’s side having Champions League football at their disposal, but it seems like a silver lining with Grealish’s availability becoming clearer.

It’s an absolute must that Everton sign one of these players, but who would actually benefit Moyes’ regime more?

Peter Reid said Evertonians would like Grealish, and he does seem like the type of player who would capture the hearts of this new project at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

But Kubo has got the Zinedine Zidane approval, and when comparing both players in their peak at their respective clubs, it’s a battle and a half.

Both players would instantly improve Moyes’ plans, but it’s up to the owners to formulate a move, and after Kubo’s update, Grealish could be the way forward with Napoli looking elsewhere.
