Tottenham in Transfer Mix for ‘Unique’ 2024 Ballon d’Or Nominee

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing Ademola Lookman this summer, according to CaughtOffside.
The 2024/25 season was a polarising one for Spurs. Ange Postecoglou guided the club to their first trophy in 17 years by winning the Europa League final, but the team struggled massively in the Premier League, finishing 17th after losing 22 of their 38 matches and being spared a relegation battle solely through the poor form of teams beneath them.
Spurs made the decision to part ways with Postecoglou in the summer, choosing to replace him with Thomas Frank who, across a seven-year tenure, turned Brentford into an established Premier League side. It is clear that Spurs are willing to make signings for their new manager, with Champions League football to prepare for.
Now, it would seem that the Lilywhites are hoping to bring this sensational forward back to England.
Spurs Like Lookman
Forward has multiple suitors

As per CaughtOffside, Spurs are one of a number of clubs with an interest in Ademola Lookman. The forward, comfortable either out wide or through the middle, moved to Atalanta in 2022 and has more than lived up to his potential in Bergamo, helping the club win the 2023/24 Europa League by scoring a hat-trick in the final.
Ademola Lookman 24/25 Season Stats | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Minutes Played |
Serie A | 31 | 15 | 5 | 2,265′ |
Champions League | 7 | 5 | 2 | 482′ |
Such was Lookman’s form that season that, in 2024, he was on the shortlist of Ballon d’Or nominees, a year in which he was also named African Footballer of the Year. It is unclear whether Lookman is pushing for a departure from Atalanta, but perhaps he would take the chance to finally prove himself in England.
With Spurs, Lookman, described as “unique” Nigerian legend Jay-Jay Okocha, would certainly find a place within Frank’s attack as the club look to improve on what, at least domestically, was a desperately poor campaign.
