A busy summer still lies ahead at Leeds as Daniel Farke looks to improve several areas of the side, with the Leeds squad far from ready ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League.

Leeds target Neil El Aynaoui with a price tag revealed

Leeds need a number of midfield profiles and Adam Underwood is considering a move for Lens playmaker Neil El Ayanoui on top of other deeper options at the base of midfield.

The scrap for new players continues between Leeds and Sunderland, with both clubs interested in El Aynaoui and Leeds and Sunderland have held talks to sign Matthis Abline as well.

AS Roma are also interested in El Aynaoui. But, Fabrizio Romano reported this week that Roma have seen a bid rejected and Lens are working hard to keep him and it’s reported that El Ayanoui will cost around £27 million.

Jack Harrison is a PSR issue for Leeds United

It’s been reported previously by Leeds United News in an exclusive that Leeds could yet retain Jack Harrison this summer and reintegrate him into the first-team.

With the winger having a contract until 2028 at Elland Road, Leeds have a ‘problem’ with Harrison. However, more recently, David Moyes is ‘toying’ with the idea of Harrison returning to Everton after two loans.

Harrison has been told by Leeds to look elsewhere this summer, with his future in West Yorkshire not likely to be particularly positive. Harrison is a PSR issue for Leeds to overcome, though.

A fourth Leeds bid for Sean Longstaff planned

It was confirmed that Leeds were close to signing Sean Longstaff from Newcastle United lately, as the midfielder has been on the 49ers’ radar for over a year.

Leeds tabled a third bid of £12 million for Longstaff and the midfielder was edging closer to a switch. Despite Longstaff potentially joining ‘before the weekend’, there might even be suggestions that this deal is off.

However, the latest reveal might suggest otherwise. Now, a fourth Longstaff bid from Leeds has been mooted and the deal is not totally dead, as the saga for the 27-year-old rumbles on.
