Rangers face a busy summer as they have a lot of work to do in both signings and sales as they aim to rebuild their squad.

Russell Martin has completed a few signings after an initial slow start to the summer, but time is not on his side as the pressure is already on.

While Rangers will benefit from extra investment from 49ers Enterprises, sales will still need to be made to create space and funding for new signings to improve the squad.

Hamza Igamane is a popular player at Rangers, but his exit now feels inevitable as French side Lille attempt to close a deal for him.

A sale of Igamane could end up being one of the biggest in club history, and this would go a long way in funding further incomings across the pitch.

Igamane scored 16 goals in his debut season at Ibrox despite finding himself on the bench a lot, with his natural finishing ability catching the eye, but he will be a necessary sacrifice as Rangers aim to reinvest the profits in the market.

Robin Propper must leave Rangers

Rangers have made countless poor signings in recent years, and Robin Propper was arguably one of the worst given the difference in expectations and reality.

Propper arrived as an experienced centre-back and captain of FC Twente, but endured a disastrous season as he made several calamitous errors and offered no stability in the back line.

The defender was selected in the first pre-season friendly against Club Brugge, but continued to disappoint, and it is clear that he has no future at Rangers.

Rangers need to cut losses on Oscar Cortes

Rangers dug themselves a hole when they signed Oscar Cortes on loan with an obligation to buy, as it now means he will be difficult to shift.

Philippe Clement oversaw the deal which brought Cortes back to Rangers after an initial loan in which he featured just seven times.

His injury problems continued and he failed to impress when fit, with it unlikely that Martin will have much use for the Colombian.

If an offer comes in, Rangers should cut their losses to make squad space and save on his wages, in a deal which should provide stark lessons for future transfers.
