Galatasaray Launch Bold €55M Bid for Osimhen as Napoli Hold Firm and Al Hilal Lurk

Galatasaray have shocked the transfer market by submitting a substantial €50 million offer plus €5 million in add-ons to Napoli for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. The Turkish giants are determined to make a bold statement this summer, and Osimhen is seen as a marquee signing that could transform their attack for the upcoming season. Talks are now underway, though Napoli remain firm on their valuation of the player, which exceeds Galatasaray’s current proposal.
Osimhen, who previously played in Turkey during his youth career, is said to be open to a return and has no issues agreeing on personal terms with Galatasaray. The 25-year-old forward is believed to be enthusiastic about the idea of leading the line for one of Turkey’s most historic clubs and playing in front of a passionate fanbase at Rams Park. However, the deal is far from finalized, with Napoli’s stance on a higher fee presenting the main obstacle.
Napoli, who only recently extended Osimhen’s contract with a reported €130 million release clause, are reluctant to let go of their star striker for anything less than top value. Having been a vital part of their 2022/23 Serie A title-winning side, Osimhen’s exit would represent a significant change in direction for the Italian club. Napoli are holding out for a fee closer to the €75 million mark before seriously considering any offers.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal are still very much in the race for Osimhen’s signature. They are prepared to pay the full €75 million clause but have not yet reached an agreement with the player on personal terms. The Saudi club is reportedly offering an extremely lucrative package, but Osimhen is taking his time to evaluate his options carefully, knowing this could be a pivotal move in his career.
With Galatasaray pushing hard and Al Hilal waiting in the wings, the race for Osimhen is heating up quickly. Much now depends on whether Napoli soften their stance and negotiate closer to Galatasaray’s offer or if the player is ultimately swayed by the financial power of the Saudi Pro League. Either way, the coming days could be crucial in determining where one of football’s most sought-after strikers lands next.
