Leicester City receive Danny Rohl thumbs up amid Sheffield Wednesday endorsement

Danny Rohl could lead Leicester City back to the Premier League.

That’s the view of Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie, who has given the young German manager a glowing endorsement.

Sheffield Wednesday boss Rohl has been heavily linked with the top job at the King Power Stadium in the wake of Ruud van Nistelrooy’s departure.

He is also currently second favourite to be the club’s next boss with the bookies, at 5/4, behind Sean Dyche (1/1).

And Hendrie believes he is the right man for the job as the Foxes prepare for a return to the Championship, following relegation from the Premier League, having impressed since taking charge of the Owls.

“Yeah, Danny Rohl, I think Leicester should go for him. I really do,” Hendrie said, speaking to Football League World.

“I think he is a very good manager. He has proved that he can do it at this level, even with a side on a very minimal budget.

“I think Leicester will be strong this season. They have got a good squad of players, and I am sure they will add to that as well.

“Danny Rohl, for me, is a very, very good manager, and I think he can steer them back to the Premier League.”
