Real Madrid are close to securing the signing of 16-year-old Moroccan midfielder Abdellah Ouazane from Ajax, according to reports by COPE. Ouazane, a highly talented and versatile central midfielder, currently plays for Ajax’s U17 team and has impressed with his technical ability and maturity on the ball.

Despite Ajax’s efforts to retain him, Ouazane has rejected multiple contract offers from the Dutch club as well as other European suitors, choosing instead to join Real Madrid. The transfer will be finalized this summer, with Ouazane arriving as a free agent since his Ajax contract expires on June 30, 2025.

As a result, Ajax will only receive training compensation for the youngster, a common practice in youth player transfers when contracts run out. Ouazane is set to sign a three-year deal with Real Madrid and will initially join RM Castilla, the club’s reserve team coached by Álvaro Arbeloa.

There is also a possibility that he could be integrated into the U19 setup, depending on his adaptation and progress, as Real Madrid look to fast-track his development. This signing reflects Real Madrid’s ongoing strategy of recruiting top young talents from around the world, building for both the present and future.

In recent years, the club has pursued similar moves, including the signings of Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold, showcasing their commitment to nurturing young stars. Ouazane’s arrival adds further depth to Real Madrid’s youth ranks,

with the club keen to develop him into a first-team prospect in the coming years. The deal is expected to be officially announced in the coming weeks, marking another exciting addition to Real Madrid’s next generation of talent.
