🚨 Real Madrid are prioritizing defensive reinforcements for the summer but are unwilling to pay €100 million for top center-backs like Arsenal’s William Saliba or Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate, despite their stylistic fit for the team’s project, as reported by MARCA.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold’s free transfer from Liverpool secured, the club is focusing on cost-effective signings, having successfully acquired players like Kylian Mbappe, Antonio Rudiger, and David Alaba without fees in recent years.

Saliba and Konate, contracted until 2027 and 2026 respectively, are unlikely to move soon, prompting Real Madrid to target Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen, whose €58 million release clause is considered more affordable, though they face competition from Chelsea and other Premier League clubs.

The club’s strategy leans toward waiting for elite players to run down their contracts to avoid inflated transfer fees.
