Taclé Par Raphinha, Xavi Hernandez Répond Publiquement !

A few months after leaving FC Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez has finally broken his silence to respond to recent criticisms. In an exclusive interview with The Athletic, the former Blaugrana coach spoke publicly for the first time since his departure, addressing Raphinha’s comments while maintaining a calm and reflective attitude.
For Xavi, football is primarily a matter of passion and family. Although he has left the Camp Nou bench, his heart remains rooted in FC Barcelona, and his memories continue to bind him to the club. During this interview, he particularly addressed Raphinha’s criticism, which recently accused him of lacking trust, without ever directly confronting the Brazilian. Instead, Xavi chose to share a story about his nine-year-old daughter, who admires Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha, to demonstrate that he never had any personal issues with his players.
“My daughter loves Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha. She’s nine years old. We are a family of Barcelonistas, and we watch all Barça teams, both men’s and women’s,” Xavi shared. These simple yet sincere words show that the former Catalan coach prioritizes reconciliation over controversy.
Xavi also addressed his successor, Hansi Flick, by paying tribute to him. Contrary to what some might think, he harbors no bitterness towards the German coach. On the contrary, he is pleased to see the team progressing and believes Flick is doing an excellent job. “Many people think I wouldn’t be happy because I’m not there anymore. But I am very happy that the team and Hansi Flick are doing a good job,” he emphasized.
For Xavi, football is a passion passed down through generations. His children also follow Barça’s journey with great enthusiasm. His son, in particular, is a big fan of Lamine Yamal and Pedri. It’s a way to remind everyone that, despite his departure, he has never stopped loving the club and continues to support it wholeheartedly.
When asked about his future, Xavi remained vague but optimistic. He wants to take time for himself and his family before embarking on a new challenge. However, his bond with Barça remains strong, and he says he is ready to return someday if the circumstances allow it.
In the meantime, Xavi watches with goodwill as his former team evolves, hoping to see his former players win titles under Flick’s guidance. “Barça will always be my home. I gave everything I had for this club, and I will continue to do so, no matter my position,” he declared with conviction.
Regarding Raphinha, whose comments stirred controversy, Xavi prefers to remain measured. He understands the Brazilian winger’s frustration but wants to remind everyone that coaching decisions are always complex and never intended to belittle a player. “I always wanted the best for each of them,” he explained.
This media appearance allowed Xavi to turn an important page in his coaching career while demonstrating great maturity in handling criticism. Despite the tensions, he stays true to his principles and refuses to fuel pointless disputes.
Xavi concluded by expressing gratitude towards Catalan supporters, who continue to back him even after his departure. For him, the most important thing is to see Barça shine, regardless of who is on the bench. “Coaches come and go, but the institution remains,” he remarked, with a hint of philosophy.
His message is clear: the love for Barça transcends individuals. He hopes his words will help ease tensions and refocus attention on the team’s performance rather than personal conflicts.
Ultimately, Xavi has chosen the path of reconciliation rather than opposition. An example of dignity and class that only enhances his image as an icon of Catalan football. It remains to be seen whether this message will help calm the atmosphere in the Barça dressing room.
