FC Barcelona Confirms Alex Valle’s Loan Move to Como 1907

FC Barcelona has officially confirmed the loan transfer of promising left-back Alex Valle to Italian side Como 1907. This marks his third club switch this season, with the 20-year-old defender set to remain in Italy until June 30, 2025. However, the loan deal does not include a purchase option, ensuring Valle’s future remains tied to Barcelona beyond this spell.

Valle’s move to Como was widely anticipated, with reports earlier this week from Mundo Deportivo indicating that he had already agreed on terms with the Serie A club. At Como, Valle will have the unique opportunity to work under the management of Cesc Fabregas, the former Barcelona and Spain midfielder currently guiding the Italian side through their top-flight campaign.

The young full-back had initially been on loan at Celtic for the first half of the season, where he gained valuable experience in the Scottish Premiership and the UEFA Champions League. Valle featured in seven of Celtic’s eight group-stage matches, including a standout performance in a goalless draw against Atalanta. That same Atalanta side recently held Barcelona to a 2-2 draw, highlighting the level of competition Valle has already faced.
